Picked a Topic!

My Learning Experience topic will be using excel and incorporating the CSO's into it. I chose this topic over my other idea because I feel it will be more helpful to use this application in my teaching than my other idea with movie type clips. I will most likely look at the CSO's and choose a grade level and construct a lesson from those while incorporating the excel program. I will use the knowledge that I learn from this in my classroom by using it as a resource for students who have difficulty in subjects and need another way to see things. Some students see the first way to do something and get it immediately, and then others need additional resources. Also, I can use excel for fun games and other exercises for my teaching.

Learning Experience Ideas

I've got 2 Learning Experience Project ideas so far, and right now I'm doing some light research to determine which one would be best for me to do. I've also checked with my instructor, Professor Pierce, to see if these two ideas would be good to do the project on.

Ropes

Well, I'm still learning the ropes of a blog and a webpage, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of the webpage. It's easier than I thought it would be to change my pages and make them what I want. Blogging is new to me and I'm still figuring out the ropes. The only thing I kinda have a problem with is the way the blog is actually set up. It's a bit confusing at times and I'm sure it's because I'm just figuring things out, but I would think the configuration of it would be a little easier. Well, that's all for now!

About Me

My photo
Hello everyone. My name is Gina and this is my blog for a course called EDUC 6809 Teaching in the New Media Age. One quote I believe relates to my feelings toward education is a segment from the popular show Boy Meets World: George Feeny: Believe in yourselves. Dream. Try. Do good. Topanga: I will never forget you [Mr. Feeny]. You were more of a father to me than my own dad. Shawn: You never gave up on me. Never once. I’m not going to forget you. You’re the best person I know. Eric: I don’t know what’s going to happen to me. But I do know that I’m going to be a good person who cares about people. And I blame you for that. Cory: You’ll always be with us. As long as we live, okay? George Feeny: I love you all. Class dismissed.
